The Community's Young People aged 0-18

The Community's young people have made a significant contribution both within the West Midlands Jewish community and further afield once they have left home. In former years the youth in the community benefited from Israeli and home grown Youth Workers who worked with the Birmingham Jewish Youth Trust to provide programmes, activities and events to reinforce and consolidate  Jewish identity. The Trust also supported national Jewish and Zionist Youth organisations who had a presence in Birmingham.

In recent years due to the decline in numbers of young people within the community,  the Youth Trust could no longer remain active. Whilst efforts from some national organisations to engage the community's young people still continues, the Synagogues have tried to ensure that there are activities and programmes specifically for different age groups.

On a weekly basis the following activities take place:

Monday
Torah Tots,  9.15am -12.45pm

Thursday

 Torah Tots,  9.15am -12.45pm
Chai Club
Cheder Club, Bar and BatMitzvah Club

A little bit more about our chapter - We are fairly new chapter to BBYO but are having great success at chapter meetings. We have about 20 regular members and always have a great meeting! We run lots of socials such as movie night, bowling and ice skating. We hope to keep growing and become one of the biggest, loudest BBYO chapters! So come along to Brum BBYO!!

This year we will be running a meeting once a month to begin with. We will be looking for committed and enthusiastic members to help run these monthly chapter meetings
